The American Fund
James Findlay (Founder) and Charlie Park launched what is now the Findlay Park American Fund in March 1998. James advises Anthony on investment strategy for the American Fund.
Prior to founding Findlay Park, James worked at Foreign & Colonial as a portfolio manager, focusing on US companies from 1985, as lead manager of the F&C American Smaller Companies Fund. James began his investment career in 1978 at Hoare Govett.
Anthony Kingsley (Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager) joined Findlay Park in 2002 as the third portfolio manager of what is now the Findlay Park American Fund. He is one of the founding members of Findlay Park Partners.
Anthony was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 2017, with responsibility for the performance of the American Fund. As Co-Chief Investment Officer, Anthony had managed the investment team since 2016.
Prior to joining Findlay Park, Anthony worked closely with James Findlay as a member of the American investment team at Foreign & Colonial from 1993 to 1997. He left to join MFS Investment Management as an equity research analyst, initially in Boston and later in London
Simon Pryke (CEO) joined Findlay Park in 2016 and succeeded James as CEO later that year. He is a member of the American Fund Investment Committee.
Previously Simon spent nineteen years at Newton Investment Management, initially as a global banks analyst, then as Head of Global Research, Head of Private Clients and Charities and finally as Chief Investment Officer.
Edward McMullan joined Findlay Park in 2008 and is a portfolio manager of the Findlay Park American Fund.
Prior to joining Findlay Park, Ed worked at Hermes Fund Managers where he covered large-cap US companies in the 1990’s before building a successful track record leading the Hermes US small-cap Fund.
Chris Fidyk joined Findlay Park in 2009 and is a portfolio manager of the Findlay Park American Fund.
Previously Chris specialised in the healthcare sector from 1999 at Banc of America Securities, JP Morgan Securities and Threadneedle Asset Management
Jonathan Tredgett joined Findlay Park in 2011 and is a portfolio manager of the Findlay Park American Fund. He is a member of the American Fund Investment Committee.
Jon was a portfolio manager and partner at Cheyne Capital LLP, managing portfolios for the Value Fund and US Absolute Return Strategy. Between 1994 and 2006 he worked on the US institutional equities desks at UBS and Morgan Stanley.
John Feeley joined Findlay Park in 2011 and is a portfolio manager of the Findlay Park American Fund. He is a member of the American Fund Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Findlay Park, John was a portfolio manager and global equities analyst at Barings. From 2005 to 2008 he worked as a US equities investment analyst at F&C.
Chris Watts joined Findlay Park in 2014 and is a portfolio manager of the Findlay Park American Fund.
Chris was a founding partner of Atlantic Equities, where he covered telecom and cable companies as an equity analyst and co-led the research team. Before Atlantic, Chris worked at Cazenove as an equity research analyst between 1998 and 2003.
Caroline Ader joined Findlay Park in November 2016 as an equity analyst.
Caroline worked in equity research at Fidelity from 2012 with responsibility for European consumer companies. Previously she worked for three years at Ruffer as an investment associate.
Alastair Pringle joined Findlay Park in January 2017 as an equity analyst.
Prior to joining Findlay Park, Alastair worked at Nevsky Capital for two years as a global ‘TMT’ analyst, focusing on technology companies. From 2011 to 2014 he worked in equity research at Nomura as a member of the European Oil and Gas team
Guy Thomas joined Findlay Park in March 2017 as an equity analyst.
Prior to joining Findlay Park, Guy spent over three years at Fidelity focusing on Emerging Markets and then the US. He began his career at Barclays Capital in Investment Banking and Equity Trading.
Paul Schenk joined Findlay Park in January 2018 as an equity analyst.
Paul worked at Newton Investment Management as a global equity research analyst for over seven years, focusing on the financial sector. He has also worked at Moody’s as a banks rating analyst.
